Heat, noise, and speed were the issues of the day. The temperature reached the mid 90's, the noise level was, well who knows how loud it really was, and speeds reached 300mph as 122 members from FOAC and CRMC attended the Inaugural Carolina Nationals at the new zMax Dragway in Concord. We were one of the larger groups to attend but the dragway ticket office had us spread out. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the action and will return for future races. Let's hope next year will be cooler, or maybe Bruton can talk the NHRA into running a couple of "Nights of Fire" qualifying rounds.
