You can’t describe the 2008 Fall Auto Fair with just one word, or can you? Weather was definitely a topic for this year’s event. Thursday and Friday were two hot days for shoppers but there was the constant threat that Hurricane Hanna would wash out the weekend events. Instead, the track had rain Friday night and Saturday morning looked pretty dismal at 7:00am. Eventually the sun popped out and the temperature soared making for a very hot day. Sunday started out hot and only got hotter as the day progressed. Members started rolling in and cleaning their cars getting ready for the show.
Thanks to Generations Corvette club for judging the cars this year. The class winners were Craig Stuart’s 98 Cobra convertible, Doug Stuart’s 66 Mustang Coupe, Larry Miller’s 60 Holman & Moody Falcon, Buster Moore’s 68 Mustang Coupe, and Junior Thomas’ 07 Shelby GT 500. This year’s best in show went to new FOAC member Kim Hicks 06 Mustang.
