Carolina Muscle held their first ever car show as a organized club on Saturday, August 15. The purpose of the show was to raise Christmas funds for the youth group of First Freewill Baptist Church in China Grove. For a first time show, CM had a pretty good turn out coming close to 40 cars. The ladies of the church also cooked hamburgers, hotdogs, and had a variety of deserts. The temperature was pretty decent but if you got too, hot there was an air conditioned building you could take a break in out of the heat.
FOAC members attending the show, Jerry & Josh Sellers, Wayne & Mitchell Starnes, Dallas & Helen Talbert, Buster Moore, and James Sipes. We also picked up another new member L. James Farris.
Carolina Muscle have a 50/50 drawing for $220. Jimmy Davis of CM won the drawing and donated his half back to the fundraiser. There were also multiple raffle prizes with Buster Moore picking up three of them. Carolina Muscle elected to do one trophy and it was the "Pastor's Choice" with the winner being FOAC members Dallas and Helen Talbert.
